Offer direct debit as a payment method for webinars
B
Bernd Weber
We almost exclusively have participants from the educational sector. They rarely have the option to pay by credit card or SEPA direct debit, but they need payment on account for their employer. We are noticing this as a result of the numerous responses from our customers and a significant decline in registrations. We also need the option to be able to offer “free access” to paid webinars. We ask for implementation as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance B.Weber, Kameleon room concepts.

Hello Mr. Weber,
Thank you for your feedback and advice. You are absolutely right, my previous assessment was very general at this point.
I would like to make this a bit more specific. As of today, I am unfortunately unable to give a binding time frame in days or weeks, as the topics of billing on account, vouchers and other payment logics include some special cases, both technically and legally, which we must carefully consider. A serious and reliable commitment would therefore not be fair to you at this stage.
As a rough estimate, I currently assume that implementation should be possible in the first half of the year. Please understand this information expressly as an orientation and not as a firm commitment, as there may still be dependencies in the course of detailed design and implementation.
I'm sorry that I can't give you a more specific statement about this at the moment. It is important to us to implement these functions cleanly and sustainably in order to avoid subsequent restrictions or corrections.
I would be happy to offer you the opportunity to discuss the topic in person. If you want, simply send me one or two suggested dates by email to d.uebinger@edudip.com, and we can get back to you by phone at short notice.
Greetings from Aachen

Thanks for your feedback.
It has been possible to offer paid webinars automatically and including invoicing since the end of last year. The implementation was a challenge both technically and legally, which is why we are happy to now be able to offer this first version live.
Coupons that allow participation at a reduced price or free of charge were already intended for this version, as were other payment methods, such as PayPal. However, due to the technical complexity, these functions will be added in one of the next versions.
We had already discussed the option of offering webinars on account. However, there are some special cases to consider here, which is why our product team will be happy to get back to you as soon as the implementation is specifically planned.
The further expansion of payment options is planned for later this year.

Dominic Uebinger | Produktmanager Hello Mr. Übinger, thank you for your answer. When you receive information about an available date for “payment on account”, you remain very non-binding. Are they weeks, months, or quarters? We are really losing money at this point because customers are unable to register using the payment method currently offered. And I assume that you too would benefit from the revenue generated via Stripe. Can you give me a specific or planned date?
